Sunday's Scoop: It's Parade Day in West Hollywood
The city anticipates that more than 400,000 people will march along Santa Monica Boulevard between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Greetings, and welcome to today's City Scoop. Here's what's happening Sunday in West Hollywood:
Main Event:Â Pride Parade
Kicking off at 11 a.m., the 2011 LA Pride Parade will see an anticipated 400,000 revelers traveling westbound along Santa Monica Boulevard from Crescent Heights Boulevard to the main entrance of the festival at San Vicente Boulevard.  at 8743 Santa Monica Blvd. is inviting attendees to stop by as early as 11 a.m.  at 8592 Santa Monica Blvd. will be holding a Rooftop Viewing Party from 2- 6 p.m. But if you are unable to make it out, tune into West Hollywood Channel 10 or LAPRIDE.org/webcast at 10:30 a.m. for live coverage.Â

Other Happenings:
- Los Angeles Frontrunners, a running/walking club for LGBT people and supporters, is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its Run/Walk for LGBT Pride this year beginning at 7:30 a.m. The 2011 event will feature a traditional 5K and 10K Run, as well as a 5K Race Walk, Kids’ Race and the Ultra Pride Run. Proceeds will benefit a local nonprofit organization.
- Day two of the Pride Festival has an exciting entertainment lineup. This year's LA PRIDE Morris Kight Lifetime Achievement Award winner Margaret Cho will be featuring her stand-up and comedy songs at 3:45 p.m. Estelle will perform at 7:30 p.m. on the Mainstage. And don't miss the Silent Celebration at exactly noon.Â
- Celebration Theatre's Lesbian and Gay Play Reading Festival continues Sunday at 6:30 p.m. The free event is sponsored in part by the city of West Hollywood through its Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission’s Arts Grant Program and the Lesbian and Gay Advisory Board.

- The National Weather Service predicts a sunny Pride Parade Day. West Hollywood will see patchy fog before 11 a.m., gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 71. The low will be around 55.Â
