Thursday's Scoop: Elizabeth Taylor Auction Preview at MOCA's PDC

A collection of the late Oscar-winning actress' jewelry, fashions, costumes and film memorabilia will be on display at the Pacific Design Center through Sunday.

Main Event: Elizabeth Taylor Auction Preview

Christie's is offering a four-day public exhibition of highlights from the Elizabeth Taylor Collection auction preview, which started in New York on Dec. 13 and continues at the from Thursday through Sunday. On view will be Taylor's 33-carat rectangular-cut diamond from two-time husband Richard Burton, the gem now estimated to be worth $2.5 to $3.5 million, and personal works from artist-admirers such as Andy Warhol, according to the Los Angeles Times. The proceeds for the exhibition are split between the Elizabeth Taylor Aids Foundation and MOCA.

Other Happenings: Janet Wilcox Book Signing

The voice actor will present and sign copies of Mastering Monologues and Acting Sides: How to Audition Successfully for Both Traditional and New Media at . The event starts at 7 p.m. and features performances of monologues and scenes by actors.
