Tuesday's Scoop: PRISM to Host Benefit for Second Harvest Japan

One hundred percent ticket sales for the cocktail gathering go toward the national food bank in Japan.

Umamimart and Yamazaki Whisky are teaming up with , ,and  to present the Los Angeles installment of The Gift of Food for Japan. Tickets are available in limited quantities for $50 in advance, and $75 day of the event. All donations are made directly to Second Harvest Japan, and receipts will be issued immediately via email, according to the event information.

Robert Adanto’s feature-length documentary, "Pearls on the Ocean Floor," about
Iranian female artists, will be screening at  at 7:30 p.m. A panel discussion consisting of leading Iranian scholars—Professors Farzin Vahdat and Abbas Milani, as well as Public Affairs Aliance of Iranian Americans Executive Director Mahasti Ziai Afshar—will follow Adanto’s film.

It's warming up in Weho. The National Weather Service predicts a high near 79, dropping to around 61. West Hollywood will see a sunny and breezy Tuesday, with winds reaching as high as 30 miles per hour.
