Walk or Bike to Help Improve West Hollywood’s Streets
'Walk This Way, Bike This Way!' invites bikers and pedestrians to help make streets safer.

By Erika Maldonado
The City of West Hollywood wants to hear from residents on how to improve sidewalks and streets with a "Walk This Way, Bike This Way!" event. The event is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. July 20 at City Hall. Participants will branch off for a walkabout and a bike ride around West Hollywood to check out problem areas that need improvement.
Making streets safer, more comfortable and inviting are the goals of the city’s Pedestrian and Bicycle Mobility Plan. Over the next few months, it will host a series of workshops, meetings and interactive tours to gather input on how to improve city streets and sidewalks, according to the Walk+Bike WeHo website.
Those interested in participating in the event should contact Georgia Sheridan at gsheridan@weho.org. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bikes, but rentals are available.
