Wednesday's Scoop: Tree Trimming Time in West Hollywood
The City of West Hollywood's street tree trimming contractor, West Coast Arborists, will start at 8 a.m. and continue until 3 p.m.

Greetings, and welcome to today's City Scoop. Here's what's happening Wednesday in West Hollywood:
Main Event: Tree Trimming
Tree trimming is underway in West Hollywood along Sunset Boulevard between Harper Avenue and La Cienega Boulevard. Work will start at 8 a.m. and continue until 3 p.m. "Westbound lanes will not be affected until after 10 a.m. in order to minimize the disruption to morning traffic," the city says.Â

Runner-Up: Desert Nights at The Standard
Soak up the last day of August with a night of acoustics at  on Sunset. This week will include performances by Omar Velasco, JK Mabry and Chris Laterzo in the Cactus Lounge starting at 7:30 p.m.

- The National Weather Service predicts a sunny forecast, calm wind with a high near 84. The evening will see increasing clouds, with a low around 62.Â
