The West Hollywood Library will be launching a weekly workshop to offer community members the opportunity to develop web programming skills beginning on Oct. 23. The workshops, which will teach basic web design skills, will take place for two hours every Wednesday, ultimately teaching participants how to create full-functioning websites.
“From personal experience, I know that learning to program can be a daunting and solitary experience,” librarian Oleg Kagan, who is organizing the workshops, said in a written statement. “So I think having like-minded people around to encourage each other will do a lot to combat that initial fear and uncertainty.”
The free workshops will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays at the West Hollywood Library, located at 625 N. San Vicente Boulevard in the West Hollywood Room.
