The Woodland Hills Making Strides Against Breast Cancer team will host a kickoff to inform people about the American Cancer Society fundraiser tonight at 7 p.m.
Making Strides is a breast cancer walk with events across the country that serves to raise money for and awareness of breast cancer. The event is open to everyone and local walks need both walkers, who collect pledges and sponsorships, as well as volunteers to help with registration, publicity, water stations, etc.
Tonight's meeting will cover information about breast cancer research, breast cancer survivors, how funds raised via the event provide help and support for breast cancer patients and more, which can be found on this Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event page.
Registration for the 7 p.m. meeting begins at 6 p.m. at New Life Church, 6115 Fallbrook Ave.
