Craving a Limeade? Sonic Opening California Drive-Ins

The iconic drive-in with the quirky, two-guys commercials is expanding its offerings in California.

Are you craving an extra-long chili cheese coney with onion rings and a limeade? Good news - Sonic is planning to open another 33 drive-ins in California, adding to its current total of 68.

The restaurants will be located in Los Angeles, Palm Springs, the Bay Area, Sacramento and the Central Valley. All of them are franchises.

“The expanding presence of the Sonic brand in California has been quite a success story in the past few years,” said Drew Ritger, senior vice president of development for Sonic. “The consumer demand - fueled by our national marketing campaign and the Two Guys commercials - is extremely strong in the state, and many franchise opportunities still exist for new and existing partners in Sacramento, the East Bay Area, west Lost Angeles and the Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.”
