Five Things: Free Smoothies

Five things you need to know, Wednesday, July 24.

Here's a handful of things to keep in mind for today.

If you have an event you'd like us to consider for Five Things, be sure to add it to the events calendar. We check it often!
    • The temperatures are rising as we get closer to the weekend. The National Weather Service reports it will be sunny today with a high of 88 degrees.
    • As part of its Reading is so Delicious summer program, the Woodland Hills Branch library is hosting smoothie making for teens from 4 to 5 p.m.
    • And, if that's not enough smoothie for you, on Saturday: Jamba Juice will be giving free Jamba Kids Smoothies to children 8 and younger from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Local Jamba Juice stores are at 21915 Ventura Blvd., 22815 Victory Blvd., 6441 Canoga Ave. and at the Westfield Topanga mall.
    • If you'd rather have your fruits and veggies unblended, be sure to check out the Woodland Hills farmers market tomorrow at the Kaiser Medical Center, 5601 De Soto Ave. The market runs every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
    • Have something to say? An event to promote? Be sure to check out the free boards feature of Westwood-Century City Patch and speak your mind or promote your cause!
