How You Can Help Local Crime Victims Over The Holidays
The LA District Attorney's Office has created a fund to help buy meals and gifts support to families who have been victims of violent crime.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The District Attorney's Office Monday encouraged contributions to a fund that provides holiday gifts, meals and other support to families who have been victims of violent crime.
The office's Holiday Giving Drive was previously open only to staffers, but now anyone can contribute.
Donations may be made online at https://connect.calfund.org/give/davaf, or send checks made payable to the California Community Foundation, with a note that the donation is for the District Attorney's Victim Assistance Fund, to 221 S. Figueroa St., Suite 400, Los Angeles, CA 90012.

Last holiday season, nearly 500 children from about 200 families received toys, bikes and gift certificates, according to the District Attorney's Office.
The D.A.'s Victim Assistance Fund is a fiscal sponsorship fund of the California Community Foundation's Community Initiatives Fund, a nonprofit public benefit corporation.
