LA County Gas Prices Continue to Drop

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Monday for the 17th consecutive day, falling seven-tenths of a cent to $4.007, its lowest amount since June 13.
Here in Woodland Hills, our cheapest gas is beating the average slightly. According to GasBuddy.com, it's available for $3.87 per gallon at a number of stations in the area. Find it at the Thrifty station at 6000 N. Canoga Ave. at Oxnard Street; United Oil at 19706 Ventura Blvd. at Corbin Avenue; Arco at 22004 Clarendon St. at Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Arco at 6310 Fallbrook Ave. at Sylvan Street.
The average price in the county is 6 cents less than one week ago and 3.2 cents lower than one month ago but 12.7 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has decreased 11.3 cents over the past 17 days, including eight-tenths of a cent on both Saturday and Sunday.
