Monday Essentials: School Starts This Week

Here's a handful of things to keep in mind for today.

    • The Woodland Hills Branch's World Literature Book Club meets at 2 p.m. The community group will discuss works in The Pen, an anthology of 2012 O. Henry Prize stories.
    • On Tuesday, the library will host a teen movie night, screening No Reservations from 4 to 6 p.m. 
    • Drivers, beware: School starts Tuesday for LAUSD students. Kids will be walking near schools again.
    • Weather this week will be warm, with high temperatures in the low 90s after today, when the high is expected to be 88 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
