Here's a handful of things to keep in mind for today.

    • Check local traffic before heading off to work. Find a live traffic map here.
    • If you're filling up the tank for the work week, GasBuddy.com says you can find the cheapest gas in Encino at the Arco station at 18076 Ventura Blvd. at Lindley Avenue for $3.83 per gallon. In Tarzana, it's slightly cheaper at $3.81 per gallon at the Arco station at 6039 Reseda Blvd. at Oxnard Street.
    • Drivers, beware: School starts Tuesday for LAUSD students. Kids will be walking near schools again.
    • Weather this week will be warm, climbing gradually from an expected high of 83 degrees Monday to 90 degrees on Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
