LOS ANGELES, CA — Police recently arrested a fugitive described as a prolific identity thief and captured her alleged partner in crime after a chase through the San Fernando Valley Tuesday.

They arrested her boyfriend Robert Carasquillo Tuesday following a pursuit in the San Fernando Valley. He was also wanted for failing to appear in court on a felony evading charge after having led police on a high speed chase in a high-end sports car in July.

Carasquillo was taken into custody by Topanga Division officers at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday following a short pursuit which ended at Rolling Road and Oxnard Streets in Woodland Hills, police said.

Police came close to catching Tansuvit in July when she was spotted getting into a high-end sports car driven by her boyfriend Carasquillo, and a high-speed pursuit ensued, police said.

Carasquillo was arrested at the end of the pursuit on suspicion of felony evading but Tansuvit got out during the pursuit when the patrol units, in the interests of public safety, went into tracking mode and fled on foot, police said.
