Supermarket Could Come To Site Of Former Woodlands Hills Toy R Us
A 33,000 square-foot building on North Topanga Canyon Blvd in Woodland Hills that used to house a Toys R Us may be turned into a supermarket
WOODLAND HILLS, LOS ANGELES -- A 33,000 square-foot building on North Topanga Canyon Blvd in Woodland Hills that used to house a Toys R Us store might be turned into a supermarket, according of the City of LA's planning department.
Although no specific market was named in the city's paperwork, the applicant is listed as Erwin Bucy, PCG Woodland Hills, LLC, an arm of Paragon Commercial Group, an El Segundo-based retail development firm.
According to a report in the Los Angeles Daily News, Jake Flynn, a spokesman for Los Angeles City Councilman Bob Blumenfield, who represents the area, said a city planning approval has been received for a "generic" market.

Paragon focuses on small-ish, neighborhood shopping centers that typically have a grocery market.
The proposed hours of operation for the market are 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily. The market, according to the city, would sell "a full line" of alcoholic beverages for consumption off-site.
