Suspect Killed By DEA Agent In Woodland Hills
Drug Enforcement Administration agents were serving a search warrant in the middle of the night when they "encountered an armed suspect."
WOODLAND HILLS, CA —A Drug Enforcement Administration agent shot and killed an armed suspect while serving a search warrant in Woodland Hills early Wednesday morning, according to agency officials.
At least one agent was involved in the shooting, and no agents were injured in the incident, said Nicole Nishida of the DEA.
The agents were serving a federal search warrant about 3:45 a.m. in the 5000 block of Nora Lynn Drive when they "encountered an armed suspect and an agent-involved shooting occurred," said Nishida.

DEA officials did not immediately release information about the fatally wounded person or the circumstances surrounding the search warrant.
Nishida said the shooting would be investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department's Robbery-Homicide Division, and the ongoing drug investigation would be handled by the DEA's Los Angeles Field Division.
