Got a hankerin' for a mango lassi or maybe some garlic naan? You're in luck if you live in Woodland Hills.
LA Weekly on Monday published a list of the top ten Indian restaurants in the West Valley, and three Woodland Hills eateries made the cut.
Making the list were Anarbagh Indian Cuisine, coming in at number seven, Shalimar Cuisine of India, at number six, and Taste of India, placing ninth.Â
There appears to be some rivalry between fans of the first two, located just down the street from one another on Ventura Boulevard, and the blog addresses that.
"Before anyone gets upset, we're aware that half of the west SFV residents are on Team Anarbagh and the rest are on Team Shalimar, which is down the street. We're not going to take sides — we think both restaurants are nice places to go for an evening out or a special lunch," it says. Â
Rounding out the set is Taste of India, also located on Ventura Boulevard, but nestled between Ralphs and Sprouts.
Did LA Weekly get it right? What's your favorite Indian restaurant in the area? And what dishes do you recommend?
