Woodland Hills Chiropractor Charged In Workman's Comp Fraud

A Woodland Hills Chiropractor was among four other Southern California doctors are charged with insurance fraud of Spanish speaking workers.

WOODLAND HILLS, CA — A Woodland Hills chiropractor, along with four other southern California chiropractors were scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on multiple felony counts of insurance fraud, the Orange County District Attorney's Office said.

The OCDA has alleged the men are part of a multi-million dollar workers' compensation insurance referral scheme that exploited mostly Spanish-speaking communities.

Charged Tuesday in Superior Court in Santa Ana were chiropractors Bahar Danesh Gharib, 42, of Woodland Hills; Afsoun Naderi, 50 of Newport Coast; Fermin Alexander Iglesias, 38 of Glendale; Bryan Aun, 45, of Brea; and Jon Larson, 45, of Rancho Cucamonga, according to the OCDA's office.

All five men are due for arraignment Thursday on charges of insurance fraud and face sentences ranging from 11 to 14 years in state prison if convicted as charged.

Ten attorneys and six conspirators were charged last year as part of the same investigation, prosecutors said.
