Ambulances Attacked During Protests: Denver Health
While caring for protesters and law enforcement, ambulances have been "attacked numerous times," Denver Health Paramedics said.

DENVER, CO ā Since protests began Thursday in Denver over George Floyd's death in police custody in Minneapolis, ambulances have been attacked "numerous times," Denver Health Paramedics said. The ambulances and their crews have been out helping injured protesters and members of public safety agencies.
Unarmed paramedics are risking injury to do their jobs, but they've been wearing ballistic helmets and vests.
Paramedics and emergency medical technicians have been "specially trained to enter volatile and dangerous situations for rapid care and extrication," Denver Health said in a series of tweets, which included #WeAreHereForYou and #StaySafe.

Denver Health Paramedics posted several photos of broken windows on their emergency vehicles, and images of the protective gear their medics have been wearing.

Hundreds of protesters ignored the curfew Saturday and Sunday night in Denver and clashed with police. Many protesters were seen throwing Molotov cocktails, fireworks and rocks at city buildings and officers over the past four days. Police have confiscated assault rifles, handguns, crow bars, baseball bats and other weapons, the city said.
