Colorado Coronavirus Update: 596 New Cases Reported
Here are the latest coronavirus numbers in Colorado.
Colorado began to see an uptick in coronavirus case numbers after the holiday season, but the state has seen a decline over the past month, public health data shows.
Between Sunday afternoon and Monday afternoon, 596 new cases of the coronavirus were reported in Colorado.
As of Monday, 421,294 cases of the coronavirus have been reported in the state among more than 2,537,000 people who have been tested since the outbreak began, health officials confirmed. Around 23,183 people have been hospitalized.

Colorado's COVID-19 death toll:
- Deaths due to COVID-19: 5,723
- Deaths among cases: 5,893
Around 27 percent of the state's critical care ventilators were in use as of Monday, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

Around 10 percent of Colorado hospitals reported anticipating staff shortages over the next week, and 2 percent of facilities reported anticipating ICU bed shortages.
Many Colorado counties shifted Feb. 6 from Level Orange to Level Yellow on the state's updated 'Dial 2.0.' The decision to update the dial was made as Coloradans ages 65 and older continue to receive vaccines, officials said. Coronavirus positivity rates have also been dropping across the state, the latest data shows.
