Search Continues For Missing Teen In Chatfield Reservoir
South Metro and West Metro Fire rescue crews are using drones, sonar and dive teams to search for a missing swimmer.

Crews are continuing their search for a missing 18-year-old who went swimming in the Chatfield Reservoir Friday and hasn't been seen since. South Metro Fire Rescue and West Metro Fire crews used drones in the search Monday while dive teams continued their search underwater.
Witnesses on the shore and in boats last saw the teen near Catfish Flats and Chatfield Swim Beach, fire officials said. The crews used sonar technology to search the water, and tracked areas using GPS coordinates.
Part of the shoreline was blocked off and a rescue team member on a jet ski kept swimmers and boats away from the search area.

Friends and family of the teen are asking boaters and swimmers to stay away from the reservoir while the search is underway, ABC 7 reported.
Weather conditions & water visibility have made sonar technology extremely useful for South Metro's dive team during this multi-day operation. Station 16's jet ski was also used to monitor the search perimeter to keep those recreating in the water outside of the recovery area. pic.twitter.com/k20o9dz5fe
