Trinidad Museum Welcomes Local Artist With Exhibit

With Trinidad emerging as a thriving arts community, the museum is providing space for artists to share their work.

ACROSS COLORADO - From Trinidad History Museum: Trinidad History Museum will host an exhibit and reception of local art on Saturday, February 10, 2018 in the historic Bloom Mansion. The partnership with Trinidad artist Dean Snead will be a fundraiser for educational and garden programs at the museum. With Trinidad’s emergence as a thriving arts community, the museum is providing space for artists to share their work with the community.

Snead’s art includes digitally altered photographs of Trinidad landmarks and scenery. The art installed in February will be on exhibit through March. The February 10 reception will offer food, drinks, a silent auction for the art, and conversation with the artist. The winner of the silent auction will receive their framed artwork after the exhibit closes on March 30.

Trinidad History Museum is located at 312 E. Main Street in downtown Trinidad. Its campus and collection includes the historic Baca House, Bloom Mansion, Barglow Building, Baca-Bloom Heritage Gardens, and Santa Fe Trail Museum. The museum is open 10 am to 4 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. For more information, contact Kirby Stokes at 719-846-7217.
