The movies will be curated by the Tribeca Film Festival. Other hits planned on the Walmart big screen include “Black Panther,” “Friday Night Lights,” “Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse,” “Wonder Woman,” “Spy Kids” and Space Jam.”

Janey Whiteside, Walmart’s chief customer officer, said it’s a “small way” the company can support their communities.
“We recognize the challenges our customers and their families have faced over the last few months, and we wanted to create an experience where they could come together safely to create new memories,” Whiteside said in a statement.

Barrymore will make a surprise, in-person appearance somewhere during the tour and Peter Berg, Jennifer Garner, LeBron James and Chrissy Metz are all expected to make either virtual or in-person showings.
Shows begin on Aug. 14, with features at Walmart locations in Houston; Linden, New Jersey; Pinellas Park, Florida; Olathe, Kansas; Prosper, Texas; and Streamwood, Illinois. All sold out almost immediately.
Attendees will be required to wear masks, have as many people as can fit in the car safely with seatbelts on and an FM radio for audio.
“A car radio works just fine,” Walmart said on its website.
