ARVADA, CO — The pandemic caused a surge in online shopping, and Amazon continues to search for new warehouse locations to help expand its empire. One of those proposed locations may be in Arvada, according to a report by The Denver Post.

The company is eyeing a 36-acre property near West 66th Place and Indiana Street, near the Ralston Creek Trail and Maple Valley neighborhood, and some residents there are against seeing a 112,000-square-foot warehouse go up, the Post reports.

The Ralston Creek trail is a home for many animal species, and a new community group — Protect Maple Valley Park and the Ralston Creek Trail— is concerned about the increased traffic pollution and other impacts that a new facility would cause.
