Arvada Strong Fundraiser: Concert, Restaurants, Parking

A special edition of Olde Town Arvada's Thursday Nite Bites will raise money for important fundraisers in the wake of the deadly shooting.

ARVADA, CO — An Arvada Strong fundraiser is set to bring the community together Thursday with free live music and more than a dozen participating local restaurants.

"Join us for a special edition of Thursday Nite Bites as we come together as a community to heal and give back," organizers said.

The special event was organized in the wake of the shooting that took the lives of Arvada police officer Gordon Beesley and Samaritan Johnny Hurley.

The event is set to run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $50, and all proceeds will benefit the following funds:

The free live music All Star Jam will feature Chris Daniels, Hazel Miller, Drienka and Brian Mikulich. You don't need a ticket to enjoy the music.

Drinks aren't included, but can be purchased from any Olde Town business and enjoyed anywhere in Olde Town in accordance with the city's temporary common consumption law, organizers said.

Visitors are asked to use the yellow, blue and red furniture, or the seating in the Arvada Square or benches, but not the restaurant patio seating.

Public transit and parking

Olde Town Arvada is located right on the RTD G Line, and due to street closures, parking is limited and organizers recommend taking the G Line to Olde Town.

If you are driving, there are several parking lots around town — the largest lot is the Olde Town Parking Hub.
