
What is Sub-Area Planning?
Sub-Area planning is a type of plan created for a certain part of our city. The idea is to create or improve a specific space through the lens of the long-term city plan. Each sub-plan takes more than a year to plan out with community engagement and city staff support.

Currently, there are three sub-plan areas in Arvada:
- New Town Area. This sub-plan is located near the Wadsworth bypass corridor from I-70 entrance ramp to the Olde Town g-line area.
- Northwest Arvada: This sub-plan is located near the Indiana St corridor from the Union Pacific railroad line to 96th Ave and Highway 72 to Highway 93
- Square Lake: This sub-plan is located near 52nd Ave and 60th Ave between Sheridan and Tennyson St.
