Arvada's Beloved Das Meyer Pastry Shop Vandalized, Again

ARVADA, CO — One of metro Denver's oldest bakeries has been vandalized again, the owners said.

Someone sprayed graffiti on the white fence that borders the Das Meyer Fine Pastry Chalet, at 13251 W 64th Ave. in Arvada, owners said in a Facebook post Friday.

"It’s extremely disheartening when you show up to work and see vandalism AGAIN!" the post read.

"As if times aren’t challenging enough... this same vandal has destroyed our property multiple times this year! Please let us know if you’ve seen any activity or recognize this tag. What gives this person the right to destroy other peoples property???"

Within 24 hours, another local business stepped up to help the Meyer family, who own the bakery.

"Big shout out to Triple S. Sanitary Sewer Services, LLC for their awesome family owned business stepping up on a Saturday to support our family," the Meyers said in a Facebook post.

"With the help of their tools and resources we were able to quickly restore our fence after the vandalism. Thank you Triple S! Our fence is not only clean but looks brand new!"

Das Meyer Fine Pastry Chalet is an award-winning, German style bakery that first opened its doors in 1982. The shop is known for its wedding cakes, cupcakes and artfully-decorated pastries.
