Arvada's Kite Festival Celebrates Rite Of Spring

Make your own kite at a Majestic View workshop or just bring a kite to the festival at Stenger Soccer Complex.

ARVADA, CO – Arvada's high-flying Kite Festival welcomes spring with the city's family-friendly music-filled event on Sunday, April 7 at Stenger Soccer Complex, 58th Avenue and Oak Street from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

You can bring your own kite, make a kite beforehand at Majestic View Nature Center or purchase a kite at the event.

The successful festival includes a DJ, community booths and free kids activities and crafts, as well as food vendors. Dogs and pets are not allowed.

"Plan to spend the day flying kites, shopping local vendors, eating great food and listening to good music. Bring your chairs or blankets and plan on staying the day," the city's Festival committee said in a press release.

Bike Friendly Arvada will also help you ride your bike to the festival with FREE valet bike parking at the bridge. Leave your bikes at their secure facility and enjoy the festival, return for your bikes and get information on BFA's year’s rides and activities.
