Circus-Inspired Brewery To Open In Arvada

Luki Brewery is set to open its doors next spring.

ARVADA, CO — A taproom based on the Golden Age of the traveling circus is set to open early next year in Arvada.

Luki Brewery will open in a 2,700-square-foot space at 14715 W. 64th Ave., owners said in a post on social media.

Arvada resident Jeff Smith's Great Grandmother Freida was an elephant rider and snake charmer in the Ringling Brothers circus. His grandfather Richard Sr. was an advanced ticket seller and show promoter.

"When we were building the concept of our brewery, we kept returning to our central themes of family and shared experiences. We realized our family’s past was the path to the future, as the Roaring 20’s era of the circus perfectly captured these themes," reads a post on the Luki Brewery website. "We wanted to create a comfortable space that evokes awe and amazement with a beer menu built by the community. No scary clowns, no overly bright colors and lights, but a contemporary take on a classic time in America."

Smith and his wife Cammy have been homebrewing for years, and the two decided to open the new taproom with Smith's dad, Roger, according to a Business Den report.

Luki Brewery is scheduled to open by March of next year.
