City Of Arvada's Snow Removal Plan, Resident Guidelines
Here's the latest information about the city's plan for plowing and what Arvadans need to know about snow removal.
ARVADA, CO — Some parts of Denver's metro area got more than 2 feet of snow over the weekend in a historic snowstorm that's left a lot of work for city crews, emergency teams and of course, residents who now have to dig their way out of their properties.
Some parts of Arvada saw a whopping 28.5 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service.
The Arvada Municipal Code requires that snow, ice and slush be removed from sidewalks within 24 hours after the end of a snowfall. Snow must be removed from any walkways on your property: stairs, driveways, parking spaces and similar areas.

Residential streets are not routinely plowed unless they have steep hills with chronic icing problems, the city said.
To request plowing service on a Priority 1 or 2 street — or if you have a severe ice build-up problem in the street or gutter due to melting snow and ice — you can submit a request by calling the city's street division at 720-898-7725.
