Every Coloradan will be eligible for coronavirus vaccination by mid-April if the current federal supply continues, Gov. Jared Polis announced Friday.

Many Coloradans, including those ages 50 and older, will become eligible for COVID-19 vaccination under Phase 1B.4 on March 19, the governor said.

  • Student-facing higher education employees
  • Frontline essential workers in food and restaurant services
  • Frontline essential workers in manufacturing
  • Frontline essential workers for the U.S. Postal Service
  • Frontline essential workers in public transit and specialized transportation
  • Frontline essential workers in public health
  • Frontline essential human service workers
  • Faith leaders
  • Frontline essential direct care providers for Coloradans experiencing homelessness
  • Frontline essential journalists
  • Continuity of local government
  • Continuation of operations for state government
  • Adults who received a placebo during a COVID-19 trial
  • People ages 16 to 49 with a high-risk condition

Polis' announcement comes a day after President Joe Biden's prime-time address, in which he announced he would direct states to make vaccines available to all adults by May 1.

Polis said he was pleased Colorado is expected to beat that goal by two weeks.
