Foothills Animal Shelter Announces New Chief

Connie Howard picked as executive director.

From Foothills Animal Shelter: Foothills Animal Shelter is pleased to announce Connie Howard as its new Executive Director. Ms. Howard joins the organization with a background in animal welfare spanning more than 30 years.

Connie Howard has been in the Front Range area since 1998. Most recently employed with Michelson Found Animals Foundation, she also served the Humane Society of Boulder Valley as the Vice President of Operations from 2001 - 2011.

“Connie demonstrated strong communication, leadership, and engage- ment skills throughout our robust hiring process,” said Lorie Gillis, President of Foothills Animal Shelter Board of Directors. “We are pleased to have Connie and her deep understanding of animal welfare join our organization.” Connie Howard graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Animal Science, and has held various positions in state, regional, and national associations.
