Man Arrested In Arvada After Barricade, Shelter-In-Place Lifted
A man was taken into custody in connection with a homicide, the Adams County Sheriff's Office said.
ARVADA, CO — A man is in custody after he barricaded himself inside an apartment in Arvada late Thursday night, the Adams County Sheriff's Office said. Residents in the area were asked to shelter-in-place until he was arrested just after midnight.
Thomas Perez-Gonzalez, 32, was wanted in connection with a homicide June 11 at a Denver hotel in the 5400 block of Federal Boulevard, the sheriff's office said. A man was found at the hotel with a gunshot wound to the head, deputies said.
Deputies tried to arrest Perez-Gonzalez earlier in the day when they found his vehicle at an Adams County hotel in the 7300 block of Pecos Street. He then drove into several patrol cars and took off to a relative's Arvada apartment in the 6200 block of West 53rd Avenue, the sheriff's office said.

Residents in the area were asked to secure their homes, stay indoors and call 911 if they saw anyone on their property.

Perez-Gonzalez was taken into custody just after midnight and the shelter-in-place was lifted.
No deputies were injured when he drove into their patrol cars.
