ARVADA, CO – The public is invited to the grand opening of the new Whisper Creek Community Police Station next week. The $4.26 million building will serve the city's northwest, or "Delta" sector roughly bordered by West 96th to West 72nd avenues, and Kipling Avenue to the mouth of Coal Creek Canyon.

You can see the new police station at an open house planned for Thursday, May 16 from 1 - 3 p.m. at 14360 W. 89th Dr.

Under the "sector-based policing" model, Arvada police officers are assigned to, and responsible for, specific areas of the city. This allows officers and residents to communicate better and officers to get to know the people who live in their community.
