Phase two, which will be funded through a voter-approved bond measure, will include pavement reconstruction, roadway widening, safety and drainage improvements, the replacement of traffic signals and landscaping, officials said. Curb ramps and sidewalks will be brought into Americans with Disabilities Act compliance.
During construction, a single lane will be open at all times in both directions of Ralston Road, the city said.

"Access to businesses and residences may be narrowed but will be maintained, as well as access to RTD bus stops," the city said in a news release.
"Some lane and intersection closures of arterial roads may exist at certain times during the project with advisories and signage in place to alert motorists and pedestrians to the closures."
Phase one of the project, which is nearly complete, included pavement, accessibility, roadway and aesthetic upgrades from Upham to Yukon streets.
