Artist and rabbi Yitzchok Moully performs "The Hasidic World of Art/Music" with live music and painting at Arvada Center.

ARVADA, CO — The Arvada Center and Chabad of NW Metro Denver present a new look at art, music and Judaism on March 14 with a performance by artist Yitzchok Moully, also known as "the Pop Art Rabbi."

Moully's program: "The Hasidic World of Art/Music: A Moving Musical and Art Experience" will feature a performance in the Main Stage Theatre by the Red Rock String Quartet of "intriguing and soulful melodies." During the string quartet's performance, Moully will spontaneously create new paintings to be revealed at the end of the evening. (Other paintings will be displayed in the Arvada Center galleries). the program's goal is to "illuminate the deeper meaning of the music and melodic connections to the world of Hasidic Judaism," according to a press release.

With a background in Hasidic culture and training as a Rabbi, Moully's work comes from his embracing his “hippie upbringing,” the artist says.
