Boulder County COVID-19 Update: Vaccination Rate, New Cases
Boulder County Public Health has released the latest information about case and vaccination rates.
BOULDER COUNTY, CO — Over the past week, 131 new cases of the coronavirus have been reported in Boulder County, according to the latest public health data. Over the previous week, 60 cases were reported, so the county has seen an uptick.
More than 218,000 Boulder County residents — or 75 percent of the eligible population — have received at least one dose of their vaccine, according to Boulder County Public Health. Around 199,000 residents — 69 percent of the county — are fully inoculated.
As of Monday, 24,011 people in the county had tested positive for the virus since the outbreak began. The death toll hit 261 after one death was reported over the past week.

Around 854 people have been hospitalized in the county since the outbreak began, and 22 new hospitalizations were reported over the past week.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment launched a phone campaign Monday to reach residents who haven't received their COVID-19 vaccine. Agents are calling people ages 18 and older to offer information about the vaccine, answer questions and help with appointment scheduling.
Text and email notifications will also be sent to people ages 18 to 29 who are overdue for their second vaccine dose, officials said. The agency previously sent notifications to people ages 30 and older.
