Boulder County Snowfall Totals: National Weather Service Report

Here's a look at snowfall totals in Boulder, Longmont, Louisville, Lafayette and other regions.

BOULDER COUNTY, CO — Even more snow fell overnight along the Front Range than weather officials predicted — so much, in fact, that the National Weather Service changed its winter weather advisory to a storm warning at 2 a.m. Thursday.

Snowfall totals in Boulder County:

  • Boulder: Between 6.7 and 8.8 inches
  • Longmont: Between 4.5 and 5.8 inches
  • Louisville: 9.4 inches
  • Lafayette: 9.6 inches
  • Superior: 9.2 inches

Some metro Denver cities, such as Thornton and Littleton, got more than 13 inches of snow, the agency said. Downtown Denver got between 8 and 12 inches, and Denver International Airport saw 9.6 inches.

  • Lakewood: Between 5 and 8 inches
  • Arvada: Between 7.1 and 8 inches
  • Westminster: 10.5 inches
  • Broomfield: Between 8.5 and 9.2 inches
  • Golden: Between 5.5 and 8.3 inches
  • Centennial: 7.2 inches

Weather officials warned people to only drive if absolutely necessary Thursday morning.

Many schools and government buildings delayed their openings; however, the Boulder Valley School District and St. Vrain Valley Schools were operating on normal schedules.

Denver Public Schools, Jeffco Public Schools and Adams 14 were holding remote classes Thursday. Littleton Public Schools, the Douglas County School District and Aurora Public Schools were closed.
