Boulder Creek Festival Returns For 2021

The festival will include three days of live music, performances, a marketplace, food trucks and kids activities.

BOULDER, CO — A decades-old Boulder tradition is back in 2021 with several dozen performances, food, shopping and entertainment for people of all ages.

The Boulder Creek Festival will be held July 16 to July 18 in the Boulder Civic Area. The event will feature free concerts, dance performances, children's activities and a marketplace.

There are no ticket fees, but online registration is encouraged, the city of Boulder said.

The festival will be held along Boulder Creek from 9th Street to 14th Street, between Canyon Blvd and Arapahoe Avenue

  • Friday: 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Sunday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Scheduled bands

July 16: Wrenn and Ian, and Danny Shafer will perform at the Band Shell. The Zimmermans and Dead Phish Orchestra will continue the legacy of Dylan & The Dead, with sets featuring music from both artists as they headline Friday night.

July 17: Ms. Amy and The Jet Set, Dechen Hawk, Green Buddha and Envy Alo are scheduled to perform. For Saturday’s headliner, you can expect Tierro Band and Bridget Law. Boulder’s Jeff and Paige will put on a show for kids at the community stage starting at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

July 18: The Boulder Orchestra is set to perform, followed by Taarka and then Pamlico Sound. Sunday’s headliner will be The Boulder Bandshell Soundmachine, featuring a jam session with Shawn Eckels (of Andy Frasco and the UN), Casey Russell (of The Magic Beans), Dave Watts (of The Motet), Brian Adams (of Deadphish Orchestra) and Will Trask (of The High Hawks).

Marketplace

The Boulder Creek Festival will feature fine art vendors, artisans, nonprofit organizations and other vendors. Learn more about the marketplace here.

Creekside Beer Fest

The beer fest will feature tasting sessions from local breweries. The event will run both Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.to 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $25, plus a $5.87 fee, and can be purchased in advance here.

Food vendors

The festival will include a range of culinary options, from carnival classics to international foods to vegan and gluten-free options. Water bottle filling stations will be up, but bottled drinks will also be for sale.
