Boulder Home Of Former Shambhala Leader Selling For $2.4 Million

The home, located at 6897 Marshall Dr., is owned by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, former leader of Boulder-founded Shambhala International.

BOULDER, CO — The Boulder County home of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, leader of the Buddhist Shambhala International organization, is on the market. The Tudor home with unobstructed views of the Flatirons is the second property with ties to the Boulder-founded movement to hit the market in the last year, according to reports.

The home, located at 6897 Marshall Dr., is owned by Mipham and his wife, Semo Tseyang, according to the Boulder County Assessor’s website. Mipham stepped down from his role leading Shambhala earlier this year, a result of an investigation detailing two credible sexual misconduct accusations against him. The investigation was commissioned by Shambhala International in July 2018.

Recently, the organization also sold Marpa House, a cohousing community where approximately 40 people with ties to Shambhala live, the Daily Camera reported. The building was sold to help Shambhala pay off debts.
