Boulder YWCA Offers Child Care Scholarships To Furloughed Workers
Scholarships are open to any federal employee or contractor on the Front Range.

BOULDER, CO -- Boulder's YWCA is opening its Children's Alley to the kids of all furloughed federal workers free of charge. The center is open Monday–Saturday each week, and accepts children from six weeks to 12 years of age.
"For us, we really recognize the struggle that people are having as they're furloughed," Kate Hise, Children's Alley director, told the Daily Camera "... We just feel like this is something that could help people who are having a hard time right now."
Children's Alley hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hours for infant care are slightly different, and can be found on the YWCA's webpage. Parents must make a reservation by phone, beginning at 2 p.m. the day before they need care. Saturday reservations can be made any time during the week. Reservations can be made by calling 303-449-1951.
