Boulder's Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant To Temporary Location

You won't find the Rio on the corner of Walnut and 11th for awhile. Don't panic.

BOULDER, CO -- Boulder's margarita hunters won't find the Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant at it's longtime 1101 Walnut Street address for awhile. Never fear — a short six-block walk to the east, and you'll hear the same sweet words: "On the rocks, or frozen?" Just remember, the three-marg limit still applies.

The Walnut Street Rio location will be undergoing a half-million dollar renovation for approximately the next 12 weeks. In the meantime, the restaurant will be operating out of 1701 Pearl St., the former home of the recently-departed Ted's Montana Grill.

A Facebook post from the Rio on Friday, Jan. 12, offered fans a hint about how to get a free drink when they visit the temporary location:
