CU Boulder Class Of 2021 To Be Honored In Virtual Ceremony

The university is set to host another all-virtual commencement ceremony Thursday.

BOULDER, CO — The University of Colorado Boulder's Class of 2021 will be honored Thursday in a virtual commencement ceremony.

The ceremony, which is set to begin at noon, will confer 9,307 undergraduate and graduate degrees, the university said.

Speaker Dwinita “Nita” Mosby Tyler, founder of The Equity Project, will give remarks during the ceremony. The project supports organizations and communities that aim to build diversity, equity and inclusion strategies.

Other ceremony highlights include:

  • Remarks from Chancellor Philip DiStefano
  • The National Anthem and Alma Mater
  • Comments by Senior Class Council President Allie Reuter
  • A senior class video
  • Deans recognizing outstanding graduates and presenting schools and colleges for degree conferral
  • Norlin Charge

The degree candidates, which are from fall 2020 and spring and summer 2021, include around 6,967 bachelor’s degrees, 1,747 master’s degrees, 402 doctoral degrees and 191 law degree candidates, the university said.

Class of 2021 graduates participated in in-person Grad Appreciation Days activities on campus over the past few weeks leading up to the commencement ceremony.
