The 27-year-old's body was found in his car at the parking lot.
LYONS, CO -- Sheriff's detectives and representatives from the Boulder County Coroner's office are investigating the death of a man whose body was found at Rabbit Mountain Open Space on Monday afternoon, according to a news release from the Boulder County Sheriff's Department. Just after 4:00 p.m., a man who was in the parking lot of the Rabbit Mountain Open Space trailhead in the 15,000 block of N. 55th Street made a 911 call to report that the vehicle next to him was running and someone appeared to be slumped over inside.
Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene and found that the sole occupant of the vehicle, believed to be a 27-year-old man, was deceased. The initial investigation suggests that the man died by suicide and no foul play is currently suspected. The coroner's office is working to confirm the man's identity and officially determine the cause and manner of his death.
