Dog Rescued After Falling Down Slope In Boulder County
A dog was rescued after it fell down a slope while chasing a squirrel, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said.
BOULDER, CO — A dog is expected to recover after falling down a talus slope Wednesday in Boulder County. The pup was rescued after it fell east of the Royal Arch Trail, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said.
A hiker was walking her dog off leash when it chased a squirrel and ended up falling down a rockslide slope, authorities said. The pup sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Open Space and Mountain Parks Rangers and Boulder County Emergency Services were called to the area at about 3:15 p.m.

Rescuers were able to bring the dog back to the trail, where it was able to walk out on its own with its owner, the sheriff's office said.
