Driver Hits 4 Cars, Injures Officer After Theft: Boulder Police

Two people were taken into custody after a driver hit parked vehicles and a patrol car at a Boulder King Soopers, police said.

BOULDER, CO — A driver was arrested after they crashed into four vehicles and a patrol car Thursday in Boulder, police said.

A theft was reported at 1:13 p.m. at a local hardware store, and the person who called police was following the suspect's vehicle as it drove away, authorities said.

Officers found the vehicle in the King Soopers parking lot, at 1650 30th St., and the driver dropped someone off at the store's entrance, police said.

The driver took off, cut a corner, drove the wrong way and hit four parked cars, according to police. The vehicle then swerved and hit a police car, authorities said.

A police officer who was in the vehicle suffered minor lacerations to their hands from broken glass, police said.
