Drunk Driver Crashes Into Boulder Boutique, Injures Child: Police

Human injuries were minor, but "the mannequins are another story" at Jacque Michelle in North Boulder Shopping Center.

BOULDER, CO -- A young child suffered minor injuries when a car crashed through the front window of Jacque Michelle Fashion Boutique in the North Boulder Shopping Center Sunday morning, according to Boulder police. The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and reckless driving.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m., and the child had been shopping in the store with a parent.

"We have a surprise remodel in the works!" read an announcement on Jacque Michelle's Facebook page. While the writer celebrated a lack of human injuries, "the mannequins are another story."

With plywood panels over the windows, the store was able to open on Monday, and was advertising that as previously planned 10 percent of the day's sales would still be donated to the neighborhood school, Sacred Heart of Jesus.
