Emergency Road Work Begins On South Boulder Road

BOULDER COUNTY, CO — Road work began Monday on South Boulder Road west of Cherryvale Road, and detours are in place. A recent inspection showed "significant concrete failures" in the area, Boulder County officials said.

Left-hand turns from South Boulder Road onto northbound and southbound Cherryvale Road will be blocked through Aug. 28. Right-hand turns will be allowed onto Cherryvale Road, officials said.

South Boulder Road will remain open, but will be reduced to a single lane in both directions.

Detours:

• Drivers who need to access northbound Cherryvale Road from eastbound South Boulder Road will need to take Foothills Parkway north to Baseline Road, then take Baseline Road east to Cherryvale Road.
• Those seeking to access southbound Cherryvale Road from westbound South Boulder Road will need to take 76th Street north to Baseline Road, then follow Baseline Road west to Cherryvale Road.
