First Bite Boulder 2018 Begins This Weekend

BOULDER, CO -- Foodies and fans of high-end cuisine have placed Boulder in the spotlight as one of the nation's top towns to eat - but for 9 days each November, more than 50 of the area's top restaurants offer a fine dining experience at a more accessible price, with unique, three-course, $34 prix-fixe dinner menus as a part of the First Bite Boulder celebration. This year, First Bite has gone one step better and added a $19 tasting menu at select locations.

Head to Boulder's BRU and you could enjoy chorizo spiced beef tartar, wild mushroom pasta, and a stroopwaffle ice cream sandwich. Have your meal with a view at the Chautauqua Dining Hall and you could enjoy beet blueberry bruschetta, pan seared scallops, and lemon icebox pie among other choices.

Sugarbeet in Longmont could land visitors a meal of butternut squash soup, Tasmanian salmon, and a dark chocolate torte.

On the tasting menu side, the West End Tavern offers brisket sliders, smoky tomato soup, and barbecued jackfruit, among other offerings. Snarf's Sandwich Shop locations in Boulder and Longmont have even jumped in with a two-for-one-special: two 7" subs, two drinks, two chips and two cookies for the $19 price tag.

This year's event will take place from Nov. 9-17, and many top choices fill their tables early, so it pays to make reservations in advance. A full list of restaurants and menus are available on the First Bite website.
