Missing CU Student Found Dead In East Boulder
Misha Solok, who had been studying political science, was last heard from March 14.

BOULDER, CO -- A missing University of Colorado student was found dead in Boulder on Tuesday, a few miles northeast of campus, CU Boulder Today reports. 20-year-old Mikhail (Misha) Solok, a political science student living in the Stearns West residence hall, was last heard from on March 14, and police had issued multiple calls for tips from the community as to his whereabouts.
“We are heartbroken to learn of Misha’s death, and extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends,” said CU Boulder Police Chief Doreen Jokerst in a statement. “We thank all who provided tips or assisted in the search for Misha over the past month, including the FBI and our local law enforcement partners.”
The cause and manner of death are under investigation, but no foul play is suspected at this time, according to the Boulder County Coroner’s Office. Solok was from Aurora, Colorado.

“Our hearts go out to Misha’s family and friends,” Dean of Students Sandy Jones said in a statement. “We encourage all who need support during this difficult time to talk to a friend or a family member or to seek professional support through the many campus resources available.”
CU has offered resources and support to students who many be struggling with the news of Solok's death. Included among the campus support services available to students, staff and faculty are the Office of Victim Assistance, the Faculty & Staff Assistance Program and Counseling and Psychiatric Services.
